Life Development Programme

    The Futura Life Development Programme is an exciting development which extends our learners beyond the current curriculum and equips them with essential life skills.

    This programme is offered in addition to the school curriculum, but within normal school times. It focuses on important skills our learners require when furthering their studies and entering the business world.

    Career Expo Boys
    CAREER GUIDANCE is given to our learners by inviting guest speakers from various industries to share their  knowledge and helping learner’s choose their career.

    Career Expo Girls
    Guest speakers are invited to share their LIFE EXPERIENCES. Information about various industries, the qualifications required and the financial support offered and provide valuable CAREER GUIDANCE.

    Learners define their own personal and career goals and aspirations in GOAL SETTING and learn how to document and review them.

    How to plan and prepare for exams and assignments using STUDY SKILLS.

    QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER to report on past and future exciting events.

    We introduce COMPUTER LITERACY by using Microsoft Word and Excel, how to use media tools for business.

    STEPPING STONES notice board at school with information on upcoming events, bursaries, learnerships and scholarships offered.

    LIFE EXPOSURE will cover what facilities we have in Durban that all residents can use for their benefit, with organised school outings to experience these facilities.

    • MATHEMATICS TUTORIALS

      As part of our mission “to achieve credible results” Futura offers weekly Mathematics tutorials to all our full time students. The tutorials are taken by a different teacher and allows the learner to revise Math principles introduced in the previous week and practice examples of these new concepts.
    • MATHEMATICS BLENDED LEARNING
      Learners combines online digital media with traditional classroom methods to improve their understanding of Mathematics. Students direct their own learning, make choices and work at their own pace in our computer lab.
