    Futura High School has an active cultural programme which stimulates the learners to participate in all aspects of school life which has a positive benefit to your child’s learning experience. Our cultural programme includes the following activities and events:

    Weekly cultural activities include debate club, Christian society, prayer meetings, choir and a chess club.

    The following cultural events occur during the course of the academic year.

    Civvies Days allows learners to dress up in theme clothing for the day while the school is decorated with posters and decorations. Students are also entered into a lucky draw at break time. Civvies days include Valentine’s Day and Spring Day.

    Market Day allows learners the opportunity to form partnerships and develop innovative ideas of what products and services to market. Each group gives their stall a business name and embarks on an advertising strategy to market their services on the day.


    Futura’s Got Talent showcases the talent of the student body to perform live in front of the school. Teachers judge the show and prizes are given for the categories of Solo Dance, Solo Music Act and Special Talent.


    Miss Futura is chosen after 3 rounds of judging. The contestant parade firstly with their casual clothes, then in the second round they are judged in jeans and heels then lastly they parade with their formal and elegant dresses.
    Miss Confidence allows the girls to show their confidence on the stage.


    Outdoor activities



    Matric Dance is an opportunity for our stylish young ladies and gents to “dress to impress” while rolling out the red carpet allowing the students to make a grand entrance before partying the night away.
